Monday Night Skating...Rider/Driver Board

So often times one of the limiting factors is...HOW DO I GET THERE???

Well let's make this a community effort and see if we can work it out!!!

IF YOU ARE A DRIVER, (have a car and space for at least 3 more folks), please email MondayNightSkating@gmail.com your location (Dupont/Logan/Alexandria/etc. plus cross streets - awesome and more exacting), suggest a safe and accessible meeting place near you, and how many people you can carry to and from the skating rink. Please include your mobile phone number in the email so that the rendevous can be as seamless as possible. YOU WILL BE GIVEN COMPENSATION OF FREE COVER & SKATE RENTAL!!! FILL YOUR CAR WITH STRANGERS (people from the rider board) AND GET IN FREE!!! This would be greatly appreciated and truly builds community in a fun sort of way!!! Not quite like the slug lines...music is probably better and you get to skate in between!!! Only ask is that for the sake of your passengers, be kind with your driving and please have up to date insurance : )

Please include your mobile phone number in the email so that the rendevous can be as seamless as possible. For the sake of your drivers, please comply with any rules of their car (possibly no smoking, no open containers, no staining drinks, wipe your feet...anything goes...be respectful please).

TIMING...It might be a good idea to be ready to roll no later than 7:30pm to allow plenty of time to arrive and get your skates etc. (possibly earlier depending on where you start). It is better to have this conversation and firm up the plans earlier rather than later.

A NOTE ON SAFETY...I am not a pessimist and am not fearful, but do cover the bases...

If you feel uncomfortable for some reason, and for the sake of safety and accountability, agree to photograph and text each other your photo ID's and if someone refuses, please feel free to refuse giving/taking the ride. Use your best judgement. I will do my best to vet out but cannot be held resposible. I imagine I will know quite a few folks involved, and will try to keep it familiar. A full car is safety in numbers : )
