ROADTRIP!!!

OK........so a roadtrip I love!!! Gas prices have gone up, but man the joy of a roadtrip, free spiriting 'round is an amazing experience!!!

This started as a child for the four of us boys, my mom, and my dad would hop first into a 1965 Dodge Coronet Wagon and zoom about, the kids sleeping at night in the back (me in the back back with my little bro Sam!!!) and later in a 16 foot Winnebago Brave that had this huge "W" on the side!!! I loved this and so within the first 10 years of my life and actually more like the first 8, I had experienced (and remember to this day) the 48 contiguous states!!! Yeeha! We visited many a national park, state park, and family hubs spread around the US....all quite fun places!!! I highly recommend to NOT sit backwards while traveling and coloring with crayons on a hot summer's day...I got SOOOOO car sick!!! Phew!!!

this set me up to make my first solo road trip to visit my buds in Texas...Blacksburg to Austin in 21 hours in a 1964 Plymouth Sport Fury Convertible...top down the entire way...through rain and all!!! What a zoomy trip that was!!!

Road trips with my college buds and brother Sam to the Rio Grande National Park to paddle for 8 days, 4 cars abreast with drivers and passengers holding hands making a chain across the road at roughly 60 mph while on a lonely road in TX. A road trip In a Black 1961? Cadillac based hearse with red ambulance light atop (thanks Rad!!!) to Okeefenokee Swamp in Georgia for a canoe trip amongst my college buds, my brother Sam and many a gator!!! In a school bus (thanks again Rad!!!) first for a mountain bike trip in Canyonlands National Park, Utah, then another trip in a different school bus (thanks yet again Rad!!!) to mountain bike the Mah Dah Hey Trail in the Roosevelt National Forest (or Park?) in North Dakota!!! Yeeha!!! Adventure abound, waiting to be found!!! Indeed so!!! I love my college buds, my brother Sam and my friends and family in general that recreate and experience the out of doors with me!!! Thanks for the fun and creative energy!!!

Roadtrips aren't as frequent as day trips but man are they life changing and affirming!!! Make it a point to spring off in your life!!!
